Goal
Flatten the terrain into a perfect plane. Use Lift and Lower to push blocks up or down until all tiles are the same height.
Controls
- Left-click lowers terrain, Right-click lifts it. Hold to paint continuously.
- Adjust Brush radius for wider/narrower area of effect.
- Adjust Brush speed for faster/slower painting.
- The brush has a Gaussian falloff — center tiles move more than edges.
Camera & View
- Rotate the view in 30° steps: A/D or ←/→, or the rotate buttons.
- Zoom (Q/E) and Tilt (S/W or ↓/↑) sliders adjust how close and how steep the view is.
- Fullframe mode expands the board to fill the screen, hiding non-essential chrome — toggle with the icon button or F.
- Snap targeting: by default the brush follows your exact pointer position; hold X to snap it to block centers instead (useful for precise single-tile edits).
- Optimal plane toggle (P) shows/hides the translucent target-height overlay.
Timer
Each level has a time limit based on its size. When time runs out, the level is automatically scored. Warning flashes appear at 30s, 15s, and 5s remaining.
Score (%)
Measures how flat the terrain is compared to its starting state:
- 0% = unchanged from the initial random terrain
- 100% = perfectly flat (all tiles at the same height)
Formula: 1 − (current mean deviation / initial mean deviation)
Efficiency (%)
Measures how economically you flattened the plane:
- 100% = you moved exactly the minimum height needed
- Lower = you made unnecessary or redundant strokes
Formula: minimum needed change / your total height change
Boundaries & Failure
- Blocks cannot go below 0 (floor) or above the grid size (ceiling).
- Hitting either boundary immediately ends and scores the level.
- While the relevant metric still is flatness. The translucent sheet shows the optimal mean target height.
Moved
Total amount of height displaced across all tiles this level:
- Each stroke adds the absolute height change of every affected tile.
- Lower is means less wasted effort.
Levels
Levels increase in grid size and terrain complexity. The Random level generates a fresh layout every time. Press Finish when satisfied, or Reset to start over.
Screenshots & Sharing
- The camera icon in the top bar captures a screenshot of the board at any time.
- Finishing (or timing out) with a score of 90% or higher automatically captures one too, so you don't miss a great result.
- The preview lets you toggle a stats overlay, copy the image to your clipboard, download it, or share it directly (share only appears if your browser/connection supports it — it needs HTTPS).
